Being 'passed over' in scripture means being covered by covenant and spared from judgment because of obedience and faith in the Lamb. It signifies divine protection, distinction, and redemption. The covenant truth revealed in Exodus, when the blood of the lamb caused judgment to pass over those marked in obedience was a prophetic shadow of Christ, our Passover Lamb. What began in Egypt as deliverance from physical death was fulfilled in Christ, whose blood brings redemption, mercy, and freedom from sin. To be passed over is not rejection, but divine distinction — covered by covenant, spared by grace, and called into promise through Him.
